Franziska Roth

Franziska Roth studied special education and has been working at the HPSZ Balsthal and in various communities in the district of Thal since 2008. Her political involvement dates back to 2005 when, as a former member of the Solothurn Cantonal Council, she played a key role in the work of the Education and Culture Commission (BIKUKO). She was the president of the Social Democratic Party of the Canton of Solothurn from 2012 to 2021. Franziska Roth is also heavily involved at local level: she has been a municipal councillor in Solothurn for many years. Her political career also includes being elected to the National Council for the Canton of Solothurn in 2019 and to the Council of States in 2024. In addition, she holds a wide variety of socio-political offices, such as the presidency of the association a:primo Switzerland and the presidency of Kibesuisse. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Discherheim Foundation and has been a member of the Board of Trustees of EDUCA SWISS since 2022.

Professor Dr HSG Claude Siegenthaler

Claude Siegenthaler studied economics at the University of St. Gallen. From 2004 to 2016, he was a professor of sustainability at Hosei University in Tokyo. As a lecturer and coach, he teaches at various universities, including at ETH Zurich University. With his company Authentic Development GmbH, he assists executives and organizations. He is a co-founder of EDUCA SWISS, member of the foundation board, and was managing director from 2016 to 2019.

Monique Bär

Monique Bär is actively involved in social integration, sustainability and leadership. She is the founder and president of the Arcas Foundation, co-initiator of the Foundation for Responsible Leadership in St. Gallen and a member of the board of directors of Forma Futura Invest AG and the social real estate company Equimo AG. Monique Bär is also a board member of SwissFoundations, the umbrella organization of Swiss funding institutions. As a partner of coaching-center gmbh in Zurich, she has been working as a supervisor and coach in companies and the nonprofit sector since the mid-1990s. Monique Bär holds degrees as in Engineering from ETH Zurich University and Supervisor of IAP/BSO.

Monica Vögele

Monica Vögele studied art history and literature at the University of Zurich while also working in advertising and marketing for an international retail company. After leading the company’s advertising agency during 14 years, Monica Vögele turned back to culture. As President of the Foundation Board of the Charles and Agnes Vögele Foundation and Director of the Vögele Culture Center, she now works on socially relevant topics that are implemented in schools, institutions, and the public. Board mandates in both cultural and educational institutions encompass Monica Vögele’s commitment to a broadly accessible transfer of knowledge.

Marco Billeter

Marco Billeter studied law at the University of St. Gallen. After holding various management positions at Novartis AG – most recently Marco Billeter was a member of the Executive Board of Veterinary Medicine – he specialized in the restructuring and reorientation of medium-sized industrial companies. As an investor and board member, he works in several industries, including packaging, building services, and metal and vehicle construction.

As co-founder of EDUCA SWISS, Marco Billeter can fulfill his dream of using a part of his resources to accomplish idealistic projects. By supporting trainees by means of his executive role, his long-standing commitment to the St. Gallen Management Symposium carries on.
